| hello all didn't know where to put this review so i just popped it into news , you can move it Flashpoint's plot is incredibly well thought through. It all starts when countries fight (china and russia and japan)for a fictitious island called skira (just of the coast of japan). As the demand of chineese goods deplete, so does the worlds resources. An oil field is found on skira but is very deep down and hard to reach. china invade skira and build a mass oil field. Russia demand china vacate skira but china claim original ownership of the country. russia then call for assistance from the US (which is were you come in). The game is pretty much modern times , only set in 2010. It's as realistic as it should be, with 1hit kills depending on bullet location etc. The controls are so complicated however, with about 4 pages of controls, including flight , boat and ground vehicles. the enemies are so hard to see on it, on the second level it was a miracle because they decided to give me a thermal scope , so all the guys i couuld take out at 200m boom headshot, It's the most realistic combat experience game i've ever played. Only felt it's intensity on the 3rd level of the first campaign when my squad of 4 was pinned ... Read moredown behind a wall and i called in an artillery strike 150m north-northwest... such a sick game, online is abit fail atm though , concidering i spent half hour trying to connect to the servers! Can't really comment on the online atm, hopefully they'll patch it soon single player however is top dog, i'll have to play it more to give a more accurate review |

| Great Bujj! Thanks very very much for letting us know your thoughts on this game. I was hoping to find out from you how it plays. I really hope they sort out online others it might be a bit of a fail. Online Multiplayer is essential these days and I dont understand why game developers get it wrong on the first release. Its like they are selling you a duff piece of work. _________________ |

| they refused to make an online beta for this and i dont understand why...anyway, i heard from salford soldier that if you keep trying to connect then you eventually do. i dont have 1/2 hrs to fritter away connecting to damn servers though so ill leave it until patched
anyway, ive got this game bujj and if i see you online for some co-op we can bash it right? great review! _________________ |

| I was going to buy it the other day, but bought my headset instead, which thankfully was well worth the money, Monkey_Slum however said Flashpoint was shite and the graphics were that of a ps one game |

| I got this as a freebie with my new PS3.
Graphics leave a lot to be desired - if you remember ghost recon for PS2 then thats the graphics quality.
Not really played it that much. As already stated loads of controls to master and playing COD controls confuses me when I want to scope and end up running etc...
Managed to get a 4 player game online once - think that may be the limit!
Will have another go at some point and see if it grows on me. |

| i connected last night got to play with a friech pro and 2 nubs
it was abit laggy, but after a while the lag stabalised and disappeared. It's certainly easier than ordering your tem around, unless you have a guy who doesnt know how to use his bazooka.
I ran solo onto the mountain side and managed to pick up an M99 (Cod's substitute for the 50. cal) , phwoar sniiping on FP is orgasmic |
