I have had mine since march 2008 and he has had his since December 2009
He has been having signing in problems constantly but where as mine has been signing in pretty well
His overheats, mine is quite cool
Mine is clogged with ice his has baely any near it
I think you should take these into consideration when your thinking about getting slim

I had to send mine in after several failed attempts at fixing it
