Somethings you should know.

Nikon have better build quality than Canon, not by a lot, but its there. Nikon also have a smaller range of lenses than Canon, making them slightly more specialised thus more expensive. Nikon also have better noise control when shooting at higher ISO's.

Right so onto Canon. Canon have much wider range of lenses, so you can pick the perfect lens for you, this is one of the biggest reasons that most people pick Canon. They are slightly cheaper and the build quality isnt as heavy duty, do not misunderstand this, they are not cheaply made nor do they feel it, they are solid cameras, very sturdy and are capable of taking a number of knocks.

I'll probobly be getting it in March ready for the start of the motor racing season. there should be lots to photograph at Silverstone Classic, Silverstone 6 hour endurance race, several BTCC race events and I should be going to Spain and Australia as well this year.
