Nothing special about a 3d tv, but they claim that this tv can show two different images for 2 player co-op on the same tv in 3d, so no split screen but 2 seperate displays on the same screen
i heard about this they are called shutter glasses by sony which show two seperate images on one screen it works by seperating the two spectrums of the 3D, E.G: sperating what you see in the blue eye and what you see in the red eye. they also work as normal 3D glasses unfortunately they are about $150 for a good pair
good news is that Sony is releasing a 3D package later this year that comes with those glasses, a 24inch 3D HD LCD/LED screen and Resistance 3 (the edition capable of 3D) all for only $499.99!!!! i am getting me that
only 24" though, i'll stick with my 40" til 3D tv's become a little cheaper, they say 3D is the future but i can't stand it in the cinema, can't imagine it beng much better at home!
itll fit perfectly in my room though when ive played 3D games like Killzone in 3D it gives a lot more depth perception so you are more accurate and when using surround sound it does feel like they could be coming up next to you

i hate the cinema 3d but the 3d with the flickering glasses is so so much better
