| Sony Has created a new wireless Headset capable of 7.1 virtual surround sound and also its rather sexy  i think this could become a market leader as it has all the functionality of the turtle beaches and Astro headsets without the wires and maintaining that same sound quality. | this is supposed to use the same wireless as the wireless controllers so im hoping theres no lag or sound interruptions |

| the latest price i heard is $99 but i bet you can get it cheaper when it comes out  |

| great but
1) its going to need constant recharging
2) its still going to use a USB slot for the wireless adapter(laggy)
3) with an in built battery and amp its going to be weighty
4) if its $99 its going to be atleast £90
so just get turtle beaches or astros and be done with it |

| I thought $99 would come to around £60? I'll probably get some reviews on the lag issues and battery before buying but I hope it's not that bad I can't be arsed with the other headsets and all the wires |

it is but as with most things its not a matter of straight conversion they know they can get more so they charge more same with apple products |

| I have sony's current official PS3 headset, have to say its a pain to charge in comparison to my old wired logitech but its easier to use in the sense of getting up and grabbing a drink and still hearing whats going on!
I love wireless! |

| There's only 2 speakers in the headset so if you were to use it ingame you cant tell where the sounds are coming from, so it's awful for sound whoring.

| its virtual surround though not actual surround. so it is still only stereo just has extra circuitry (some sort of binaural processor) to expand the sound so not as good as an actual surround sound set and can cause disorientation due to it trying to project a distanced audio file when it is in direct contact with your ear. |
